'Gladiator II' is slated to hit the cinemas on November 22 this year. The epic historical drama film from Hollywood is directed by Ridley Scott. A sequel to 'Gladiator' (2000), the film is written by David Scarpa. Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, and Denzel Washington headline it.
Its Trailer is out and Netizens are going gaga over it. "I really thought this would be a cheap and pale imitation of Gladiator, but I've got to say, the signs are good. It has a real feeling of epicness, just like its predecessor. Looking forward to it," wrote a fan.
"This looks fantastic! Gladiator on steroids - flooding the coliseum, scale, intrigue, action, treachery," another movie buff wrote.
However, a section of the media is not in awe of the trailer. "The trailer release has inspired a huge response, despite suggesting the Paul Mescal-starring sequel will copy the original," wrote BBC.
The use of a rap has been questioned. "It looks like it could be pretty good at best. Very underwhelming trailer compared to my expectations. I will still watch it but I would be lying if I didn’t say my hype meter dropped a notch," a cinegoer wrote.
