Investing in public relations (PR) doesn't guarantee box-office success, actor Kiran Abbavaram today said when asked if it is his self-marketing that is ensuring the success of his recent movies. His latest movie, Chennai Love Story, follows the success of KA and K-Ramp. The questioner alleged PR-driven popularity of Kiran's movies.
"If money buys you the audience's appreciation, all heroes should be securing only hits. Please don't disrespect the audience by making loose comments. There are actors who have more money than I have got. They should be doing better than me everytime. And their movies should be minting Rs 200-300 crore every time," Kiran argued, adding that CLS has been watched by the family audience that typically don't have social media accounts.
Chennai Love Story today received a thumbs-up from Naga Chaitanya, who attended the movie's post-release success meet. The film, directed by Ravi Namburi and jointly produced by the SKN-Sai Rajesh duo, co-stars Sri Gouri Priya. Mani Sharma is its music director.
