Hollywood actress Florence Pugh did Oppenheimer alongside Cillian Murphy. She recently explained that while she and Murphy were filming an intimate scene together on a closed set, the IMAX camera malfunctioned: "In the middle of our sex scene, the camera broke. No one knows this, but it did. Our camera broke when we were both naked, and it was not ideal timing."
Since the film, directed by Christopher Nolan, was shot using specialized IMAX cameras and spare units were limited, crew members had to come in to inspect and repair the camera while Pugh and Murphy covered themselves and waited.
Florence Pugh is widely considered one of the defining mainstream actors of her generation. She is a central figure in major global franchises. She plays Yelena Belova in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Black Widow, Thunderbolts*, and Avengers: Doomsday) and Princess Irulan in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune franchise (Dune: Part Two and Dune: Part Three).
