Nandamuri Janakiram was known as the quiet one in a very famous family. He was the son of Nandamuri Harikrishna and grandson of the legendary NT Rama Rao. Unlike many in his family, he stayed away from the spotlight. He studied and worked in the US before returning to build his own path in business. He never used his family name to open doors. He wanted to stand on his own. His life came to a sudden end in a road accident in Nalgonda district in December 2014. He left behind his wife, Deepika, and their two sons. Today, the trust set up in his memory carries his spirit of quiet service forward.
That spirit was on full display at the Anganwadi Centre in Kondakal Village, where the Nandamuri Janakiram Trust organised a heartwarming outreach for young children. "The Trust believes that children's smiles are society's real wealth. It works by a simple motto: service is the commitment, and children's welfare is the mission," a source says.
The Anganwadi teachers had a simple request. The children needed proper chairs to sit and learn. The Trust responded right away and donated a set of sturdy chairs for the little ones. Alongside this, the Trust handed out nutritious dry fruits to every child, a small gesture meant to support their health and growth. "Children today shape the society of tomorrow. Looking after their education, health, and happiness is not just kindness. It is a shared duty everyone carries," the source added, explaining the vision behind the initiative.
Mrs Nandamuri Deepika Janakiram joined the programme in person. She handed the chairs and dry fruits to the children herself and sat with them for a while, listening and chatting. The children's laughter and their small blessings made the day one to remember for everyone present. Speaking about the initiative, the Trust reaffirmed its promise to keep working for children and underprivileged communities through such efforts. Every visit, every gesture, adds up to something bigger.
