A thing about Telugu movie actors is that most of them struggle to speak interestingly or coherently in interviews. Their sentences sound jumbled, their English is generic (yet they can't help themselves but rely on the language they don't read much), and their interests are extremely narrow. Debutant actor Jay Krishna Ghattamaneni, in contrast, seems to be a better speaker. (The one other young actor who has started speaking that confidently is Akhil Akkineni, but he debuted 10 years ago).
In his pre-release interviews, Jay is sounding sorted and fairly well-read. The Gen Z kid doesn't spend seconds searching for the right English word. His replies are to-the-point, and he is not eager to please the audience or Mahesh Babu's fan base. He is not conscious about what his words might mean to the listener.
He is probably the first rich kid from the Telugu film industry to say that he started watching movies critically and as an art form from a young age. As a nepo kid, shouldn't he be deploying overused cliches like "I am a huge fan of Telugu cinema, and I can't live without watching ten mental mass movies a week?" Honestly, that would put him in the headlines more often.
