'Mister Middle Class' Teaser: Outdated sensibilities and treatment

It's crazy that the promotional videos of Telugu movies with a bunch of renowned comedy actors these days end up annoying the viewer. The teaser of Mister Middle Class is the latest example, joining the sorry league of over-the-top entertainers overcrowded by a host of artists of all ages. Not that we were supposed to expect anything else from it; the movie is directed by G Nageswara Reddy, the old-school filmmaker of Seema Sastry, Seema Tapakai and Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam.

Sunil, Ali, Raghu Babu, Vennela Kishore, 'Thirty Years' Prudhviraj, Muralidhar Goud, Prabhas Srinu, Dhanaraj, Babu Mohan, Chitram Srinu... the list goes on. With these many renowned names, some of whom are new-age, just the teaser should have been a blast.

Most of our filmmakers, both old and young, are obsessed with a loud, over-talkative, obvious style of comedy. Mister Middle Class tells the story of a middle-class family (Srikanth and Laya play a couple) waiting to be salvaged. Rajendra Prasad, who plays Lord Venkateswara, intervenes in a fantastical twist. While the premise is archaic, the sensibilities should be updated. That doesn't seem to be the case here.

With music by Saikarthic and cinematography by 'Garudavega' Anji, the film has dialogues penned by Diamond Ratnababu and Shrawan Bhanupuri. Mister Middle Class is yet to lock its release date.
