"Dacoit is a film we made with our heart and soul. It contains many important elements, but we haven’t revealed them in the trailer," Adivi Sesh shared, speaking at the trailer launch event of his up-and-coming movie. Dacoit is up for a grand theatrical release on April 10.
Speaking on the occasion, the actor said that the audience will feel thrilled while watching the film. "The core idea of the story is about what a person tries to ‘steal’ when their heart is broken. We tried to tell a meaningful story about emotions. The story unfolds in layers. This is a film that runs entirely on emotions," Sesh, who is coming out with a release 3.5 years since his last release, added.
The trailer, which has received a thumbs-up from the likes of Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Vijay Deverakonda and Victory Venkatesh, doesn't reveal the core of the story. "Director Shaneil Deo's narration has a flavor of Bhojpuri culture. That’s why we brought in Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh to represent that culture. Mrunal Thakur has performed wonderfully in this film. It’s very hard to guess what happens after the first half hour of the movie," Sesh added.
Mrunal said that she can never forget the love that Telugu audiences have shown for films like Sita Ramam and Hi Nanna. "I consider it a blessing from my past life. The character Saraswati that I played in Dacoit will remain memorable in my career. Producer Supriya Yarlagadda, Sesh, and Shaneil Deo have stood like Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwara for this film. I have given 100% effort. This film will definitely live up to your expectations," the actress said.
Dacoit will hit the cinemas on April 10. Bheems Ceciroleo is its music director. Besides Anurag Kashyap and Prakash Raj, the film also features Sunil and Atul Kulkarni. As per Sesh, the film's budget is Rs 75 Cr.
