Exit Polls are out. While most pollsters are predicting a TVK rout, one stand-out poll has predicted a shocking victory for the young party.
As per Axis My India, Thalapathy Vijay's party will secure 98 to 110 seats in Tamil Nadu's 234-seat Assembly. If the number is on the lower side, Vijay might join hands with the AIADMK to form the government. He will become the CM, while the Deputy CM will go to the junior partner.
But what if the poll goes wrong? As per Pradeep Gupta, who is regarded as India's best psephologist by commentators, there is no question of the TVK falling below 70. If TVK gets even 70 seats, the entire political establishment across India will be flabbergasted.
But why should the Axis poll be taken seriously instead of those polls that are predicting no more than 10-15 seats for TVK? Axis, at least since 2017 or so, has got most predictions right. The 2024 LS exit poll was horribly wrong, though. Otherwise, the polling agency is known for accurate predictions. Many elections were predicted to the T.
The final results will be out on May 4. If Vijay's TVK forms the government, it will be a political earthquake of sorts in Tamil Nadu.
