Deepika Padukone's character in Raaka remains unaffected despite her pregnancy. The makers of the Allu Arjun-Atlee movie have no plans to shorten her role.
"Her role in Raaka is crucial," an unnamed source working on the movie and who closely knows the script has told Times of India. She landed his multi-lingual project after her exit from Kalki 2 and Spirit.
Deepika's character has to be the most pivotal after the hero's. Otherwise, all the hype with which Sun Pictures announced her presence in the movie last year will end up looking like a hyperbole. The superstar actress and her husband, Ranveer Singh, recently announced her second pregnancy.
Raaka is one of the biggest Asian films currently in production. The number of scenes featuring Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone together will be of keen interest to movie buffs. Even though others like Rashmika Mandanna and Janhvi Kapoor are likely there in the film, Deepika will remain the most central to the narrative among all the female actors.
