Actress Huma Qureshi of Kaala fame has come out in support of Kiara Advani over her intimate scenes with Yash in the track Tabaahi from Toxic.
Trolls questioned the Game Changer star for doing "steamy sequences as a married woman". However, Yash faced no public backlash despite also being married. Addressing the issue on a recent chat show, Huma called the online hostility sick and disgusting. She highlighted the obvious double standard present on social media platforms, further remarking that words alone cannot change closed mindsets. She added that the women involved in making the film will have the last laugh once the movie hits theatres.
Toxic has been made in both Kannada and English. Directed by Geethu Mohandas, the film co-stars Nayanthara, Darrell D’Silva, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. Its trailer will be out on August 8. So far, content related to the trailer has been top secret. KVN Productions has been maintaining utmost secrecy.
Toxic will open in theatres exclusively on August 26.
