KD: The Devil stars Dhruv Sarja, Sanjay Dutt and others. The other day, a song titled Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke in Hindi (Jaripey Naatho Pandaga Jaripey in Telugu) was released. Filmed on Sanjay Dutt and Nora Fatehi, a stanza in the song has been condemned by netizens. A couple of lines in the song refer to sexual intercourse in a "vulgar" way.
How did the CBFC permit it? The chairperson of the Censor Board today said that songs released on YouTube and other digital platforms prior to the movie's theatrical release are not certified by the CBFC. "It is to be noted clearly that content on digital platforms is not certified by CBFC. There is often confusion about this and CBFC is unnecessarily dragged into matters that are not connected," the ANI quoted him as saying.
All objections against the song have to be directed to YouTube and the makers of the film, he added.
Starring Reeshma Nanaiah as the heroine, KD: The Devil also features V Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Shilpa Shetty, and Yash Shetty. It will head to theatres on April 30.
