The Paruchuri Brothers reigned supreme as unchallenged writers in the Telugu film industry for decades. They held onto their undisputed position till about the mid-2000s. Even later, their opinions were sought after by the likes of Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna for their movies at the scripting stage.
In a recent interview, director VV Vinayak revealed that about 200 movies for which the duo extended their writing services didn't acknowledge their contributions for whatever reasons. Either they were ghost-written cases or uncredited works. "If the Paruchuri Brothers wrote about 300-400 movies on record, about 200 were written off the record. They didn't insist on a certain remuneration to be paid either," the maker of films like Aadi and Adhurs revealed.
